Harbor University was established in 1997 out of a desire to increase the educational opportunities within the optical world.  As lens technology and processing equipment improves and advances, the individuals within this industry need as many opportunities to stay updated.  Trade publications are good sources, as are consults with industry professionals, but more intense and comprehensive options are required.  So, as everyone here watched the industry continue to grow at an alarming rate, we worked to develop some options for people in the industry to meet and stay on top of the growth, and to make sure that their practice kept pace with the growth of the technology.

Harbor University has continued to grow in size every year, and we work to always produce a better experience year after year after year.  Due to the growth, we have worked with Northwestern Michigan College and their Hagerty Center in an effort to find a location that can house all of the attendees.  Now in our eleventh year, we are expecting our largest enrollment yet, and hope that you are included in that number.

Also, as we have grown Harbor University over the years, we have found that even the full fall educational is not large enough to address all the training opportunities that individuals in the industry require.  So we recently brought out our Continuing Education and On-Site Education programs.  Right now, with the combination of all three of the educational offerings, we are pleased to offer the greatest training portfolio in the industry.  And, as the industry continues to change and evolve, we too will adjust our programs as well as the components there of, as we are dedicated to remaining as the pinnacle of optical industry training.
